Jonathan Haidt explains, with a lot of research, how society has-for the last few decades-tried to keep kids overly safe in the real world while leaving them vulnerable in the digital one. The societal customs, laws, and platforms have left our kids vulnerable and many of our parents unable to protect them.

Society will likely find ways to protect kids in the long run, but-in the short run-the challenge is real.
